Lattice.SPGen Stored Procedure and Code Generator
By Lattice Business Software Intl., Inc.
Lattice.SPGen is a template-based stored procedure and code generator that supports Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, IBM DB2 UDB, PostgreSQL and MySQL. It processes any tables and views in the database that you select and generate stored procedures scripts of insert, update, delete, select (single or multiple records) as well as business entities for C# and VB.NET. The output scripts file can be chosen as one file for all tables / views or one per table / view based on your preference. Below is how it works: 1. Collect metadata from different datasource(Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL) 2. Build xml metadata input definition file 3. Generate stored procedures and C# or VB.NET business entity using xslt with different xsl stlysheets. Lattice.SPGen supports the following RDBMS: * MS SQL Server 2000 and 7, MSDE 2000. * Oracle 8i and 9i. * IBM DB2 UDB * MySQL 5.0 * PostgreSQL Below is the link to download the software: http://www.latticesoft.com/downloads/LatticeSPGen.zip Lattice Business Software http://www.latticesoft.com

ADO.NET Express Pro
By Pharaoh Software
ADO.NET Express is an add-in for Visual Studio 2003 that generates class methods for calling stored procedures and executing common types of SQL statements. It supports C#/VB and SQL Server/Oracle. ADO.NET Express looks similar to Server Explorer. You can add database connections and browse schema objects such as tables and stored procedures. You can right click on a schema object to generate ADO.NET code for this object. For example, you can right-click on a stored procedure and generate a C# method that executes the stored procedure and returns a DataReader. ADO.NET Express is especially useful for ASP.NET and middleware developers who write a lot of data access code and would like to save time to do more creative tasks. Generated code is easy to understand and modify. ADO.NET Express has a variety of options for generating code that cover most of the common data access scenarios. Generated code can also be used as a template for modification.

DBDocumentor
By Pikauba Software
DBDocumentor produces database documentation for the SQL objects in your database project. The list of SQL objects documented varies with the SQL dialect chosen, and DBDocumentor currently supports; Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and below, Firebird 1.5, and Sybase SQL Anywhere (ASA) 10 and below. Generating reference documentation for a SQL database using DBDocumentor is as simple as selecting the SQL dialect, the object types to include and the source files to process. Within a few minutes DBDocumentor generates a fully cross referenced view of the SQL database, including where data is sourced from and what objects are modifying data in what other objects. The cross referencing extends to procedure and security usage, clearly showing which procedures are used where, and under what security context. These capabilities make DBDocumentor ideal for those wishing to learn the structure of a given database, or simply to document the database for future reference. Extended capabilities include declarative object grouping, support for DBMS metadata based descriptions like those provided in SQL Server Enterprise Manager or SQL Server Management Studio, SQL dialect specific syntax color coding, control over the documentation of temporary objects and dynamic SQL, and the generation of XML output. All documentation is generated by reading the source SQL batch files and requires no active database connection, or any database connectivity tools. DBDocumentor produced documentation is perfect as printed database application documentation for: - Client documentation for software development consulting projects - Online access for middle tier developers to develop against a documented database interface - Determining the degree of data exposure and risk by specific database functions, procedures and Reporting Services reports - Determining the degree of dynamic SQL used in the database, and what data sources are impacted by the use of dynamic SQL

SQLHelp
By Pikauba Software
SQLHelp produces database documentation for the stored procedures in your database project. The documentation includes the input parameters, their types and directions, output result sets, executed procedures, return values, and transactional nature, independent of the path of execution. Extended capabilities include declarative procedure grouping, hyperlinked executed procedure access and query analyzer style syntax color coding. All documentation is generated via SQL batch files and requires no active database connection. SQLHelp produced documentation is perfect as printed database documentation for clients, online access for middle tier developers to develop against a documented database interface and quality assurance efforts to ensure consistent coding guidelines are followed. SQLHelp documentation can also be produced at the beginning of projects to help define the interface contract between the database layer and its consumers. In documenting the procedures as you design them, and by defining an interface contract, you can ensure the stability and reliability of your end application. SQLHelp produces compiled HTML Help formatted documentation that is familiar to virtually every developer working on Microsoft platforms. Some of the capabilities include: - Document SQL stored procedures easily and quickly. - Define logical groupings of procedures. - Produce compiled HTML Help of the procedures running on your database for future reference. - Enforce object oriented design techniques by defining interfaces to your database. - Limit access to the raw SQL to those who need access.
