Cricklers are a new type of word puzzle - a total re-invention of the crossword puzzle for the computer age. Traditional crossword puzzles are incredibly successful but they have several serious drawbacks: (1) They are difficult to construct, (2) Most words are short and often silly -- chosen only because they fit, (3) Matching clues to numbers is a distraction, and (4) A given puzzle is usually either too easy or too hard. Cricklers solve all of these problems while retaining the essence and feel of a traditional crossword puzzle. Cricklers adapt: they become easier or harder depending on the skill of the solver. Words are chosen by the designer -- the computer takes care of fitting them together. Clues and answers sit side by side. Cricklers use upper and lower case correctly and can handle numbers, symbols, and accented letters. You can see which letters are vowels, and you get a reassuring sound when you complete a clue correctly. All Home Inventory is an easy to use database program that allows you to quickly build a permanent record of your property and its value. You may record descriptions of items, where they were purchased, when they were purchased, current location and value. You may also store digital images of the items in your database. Records of this sort could prove invaluable in the event of a theft, a fire or a natural disaster. To begin entering information, simply click the Add New button and begin entering information. The Item Description field is the only mandatory field. All other fields are optional and may be left blank. The items that appear on the Category and Location pop down lists may be customized. Select Category or Location from the Maintain Menu to add or remove items from these lists. The information you enter may be easily recalled and viewed on the screen, or printed through a variety of reports. A custom reporting option is also included, making it easy to create reports containing just the information you want. In your custom reports may be saved and then run at a later time. Context sensitive help (press F1) is available throughout the program.

Email Arrival Notifier notifies of the new e-mail messages arriving from multiple e-mail accounts. It provides you with a system tray notification center that gives you visual and audio notifications once you get the new email message coming from one of your accounts. Email Arrival Notifier supports the following email account types: POP3, Yahoo, Hotmail and Gmail. To get started you just need to enter information about all your e-mail accounts using a very simple wizard. After you have done so, it will immediately start its automatic checking mechanism and the new notifications will start to arrive once you have the new email messages in your mailboxes. Another useful feature of the program is Automatic Mailbox Logon - once you get the new email messages, you will not need to open the web browser and enter your username and passwords manually - the program does it for you, you just see your mailbox within a few seconds.

Zoom Tool is much more than a simple magnifier. This program takes things a few steps beyond the simple magnifier. This is a professional level tool that is completely free to use. Zoom Tool allows you to zoom in to whatever you have on your monitor. If you are anything like me, I like to have my monitor at its highest resolution. Sometimes I can not make out the details of some 8 point text. Zoom Tool has a Desktop Mode where the viewport is updated with whatever is underneath the mouse pointer. While in Desktop mode, the viewport location can be locked or frozen. The Image mode allows you to zoom into opened graphics files as well as any pasted images. Images can be pasted directly into the program allowing you to be able to analyze virtually any image that is published on the web (by right click "Copy Image"). In order to analyze some windows, you can sometimes take a screenshot of that program when it is active by pressing Alt+Prt Scr. This copied image can then be pasted into the Zoom Tool. These pasted images will become part of the History in the same way as an opened file. History allows the user to quickly switch between images that have been opened or pasted. Each item in the history retains the percent zoom and the scrolled to location, allowing the user to quickly compare the finite details of images. History is unable to include desktop viewport contents. Color grab feature allows the user to get a color from any sample. Colors can be stored to the clipboard in many formats. Color samples can be taken from a single pixel, or an average of 3x3 or 5x5 pixels. Various clipboard formats include HTML, RGB, CSV of RGB, Photoshop, C++, Microsoft Access, Visual Basic, Delphi, single pixel or 32x32 pixel bitmap of the color. Opens files that are BMP, JPG, PNG or GIF. GIF files actually animate (if applicable). "Paste From..." menu option quickly takes screenshot of other windows.
