COLOREA - Das große Computermalbuch!
By anom.de - Multimedia
COLOREA is a child-orientated, completely non-violent computer programme for little artists. More than 100 different painting patterns can be imaginatively designed over and over again. Subjects in many different stylistic ways see to it that kids work creatively with colour, forms and the computer for hours. All the produced compositions of the little artists can be stored and printed. So you?ll have nice memories of your child?s early years. The painting of the pattern is child- orientated and easy. By using the coloured pencils or the colour bar you can choose the colours. Underneath the range of coloured pencils you find buttons for additional shadow and lightning effects. The colour of these effects can be determined by the previous choice with the help of the coloured pencils. With the COLOREA - Picture Viewer you can add frames and speech bubbles to the pictures of the big computer colouring book, COLOREA. The pictures can be printed with the help of the print module.

Midget
By J. Andrzej Wrotniak
A tiny, but very capable numerical calculator for Windows. It differs from others in the way you calculate your expressions: enter the whole expression at a time, like "2+3.9/7.1-3 sqr 5", and only then hit Enter to compute the value. The expression stays displayed so that you can correct or othwerise modify it, and recompute at will without having to re-enter everything from scratch. Calculations are done with 18-digit accuracy, and the results can be displayed with adjustable precision and format (including deg/min/sec). Results can be also converted between various units of measurement. In addition to basic arithmetic operators and 30 standard functions, Midget has 12 variables, where calculation results can be stored, and then used as arguments in other expressions, like in "2A+B/7". The status of calculations is saved to disk so that next time you run the program, you start at the point you left. The program is continuously improved since 1996, so it reached a highly polished state. A Help file is included, and there is a Web support page. If you are still using the crummy calculator applet included with Windows, it is time to try Midget. The chances are you''ll end up using it on a permanent basis.

MailUtils
By Brian Taylor
Five utilities for administrators of MSmail postoffices* are provided in one program: "User List > Text File" generates a list of all local users giving details of their mailbag number, MMF file size and the number of e-mails waiting for them. "Mailbag > Text File" identifies the owner of any mailbag and creates a list of all e-mails referenced within it, plus useful details of each (but no private info!). "Network > Text File" generates a complete list of all the external postoffices (including gateways) known to the local postoffice, giving various details about each. "Stranded Mail Report" searches for e-mails that are present on the postoffice but are not referenced in any mailbag (a common problem that soaks up disc space). "SMTP Addresses > Text File" produces a text file containing a list of all SMTP addresses registered with the postoffice (useful for remote users). *Note that this includes the type of postoffice created by the "Microsoft Mail Postoffice" control panel application present in many 32-bit versions of Windows.

Browser Page Editor
By CrookedBush.com Inc.
When I design web sites for clients, I now use this script to put the control into their hands; rather than hire me for every little content modification, they can easily make the changes themselves from any browser. Do they need to upload images? No problem; this script includes a file manager for a special upload directory. They can quickly place images in this folder, and remove old ones. It''s password protected, so only the right people can make changes. It''s easy to integrate, even into pre-existing sites. Place the edit link on the pages you want users to be able to change. The script figures out the path to this page, displays the content in a WYSIWYG format (for WIndows IE users only). Familiar commands like control-B for bold or shift-Enter for line breaks make this simple to learn and use.
