You begin the most difficult journey of your life: the quest for the Sword of Light. The land of Arcus is being overrun by evil, and you are the only one who can annihilate the threat and restore peace. Choose from four different noble warriors, each with unique abilities and attributes. You can take on the enemy with either your impressive arsenal of weapons, or you can keep your distance and use magic to cast spells. The game is made up of eight challenging quests, that when completed will reveal the story behind the quest for the Sword of Light. If you''re feeling overwhelmed, you can have a friend join your party and really put the hurt on the enemy. This is a Gauntlet-like game: lots of action and magic, with items to collects, and many dungeons to free from monsters. The fate of the world is in your capable hands.

You control either Ariel the mermaid or her father, King Triton. In Ariel''s adventure, Triton has been kidnapped, and vice versa for the Triton version. To help you make your way through the four stages, you have the ability to call upon friends like Sebastian the crab, Flounder, and the digger-fish. You can also collect pearls and buy things from Scuttle the seagull. You''ll fight such bosses as the Lava Monster, the Shark Boss, and the Medusa. Your final confrontation is against Ursula herself. Only by defeating her can you rescue your beloved family member. Ursula the Sea Witch is up to her evil tricks again. With plans to rule the Merkingdom, she''s turning the merpeople under the reign of King Triton into pathetic little polyps. At the same time, she has bewitched peaceful sea creatures, turning them malevolent. But perhaps worst of all, she has abducted a member of the royal family!

This is a side-scrolling space shooter. You control a female spaceship pilot who is sent on a mission into deep space to save the Earth from an assault by an evil dragon from another galaxy. Moving vertically or horizontally, you must avoid or kill the enemies and make it to the end of the level alive, where a boss battle awaits you. You can switch at any time between two modes: normal spaceship and flying robot. The two forms use different weapons and also have different special abilities. While the spaceship can fire destructive lasers for major damage, the robot can raise a shield that will protect you from enemy attacks for some time and instantly kill anything that touches it. You can either charge attacks by holding a button for several seconds, or collect icons during your flight to release it quickly afterwards.

You''ll have to fight through a roster of characters that are bigger, faster, and stronger than you''ve ever seen before. The key to success is mastering the Super Attacks, which can be devastating when used properly. Along with Ryo, you can also play as his friend Robert or six others in the VS. mode and eight others in the Story mode.

There is a variety of items to collect and obstacles to overcome.

The game takes place on the space outpost Terra-12. It was hit by cosmic radiation, which mutated most of the life forms on the outpost. The radiation was followed by a group of aliens lead by robotic "governors". As the half-human half-cyborg flying machine of the title, you are faced with many levels to clear of enemies. The gameplay is horizontally scrolling. Your unit is able to fly and then hold at a certain level in space. Defeated enemies often release gems, which can be collected towards power-ups. These include more powerful or multi-directional firing.
